At The Victoria-Nwaeke (TVN) Foundation, we believe that equal access to healthcare is a fundamental human right. At the core of our non-profit operations is the commitment to reducing disparities in healthcare accessibility and affordability. We achieve this by leveraging investments in education, research, and health technology to improve access to affordable and high-quality healthcare services for underserved populations and vulnerable groups.
This commitment is evident in our recent efforts to providing HPV and cervical cancer screening for women affected by insurgency in Nigeria’s Borno state and other northeastern areas. Recognizing the urgency of healthcare challenges in these regions, the TVN Foundation works towards making significant impacts through our innovative programs.
We collaborate with a wide network of partners, including government agencies, Regional cancer registries, and academic institutions, to overcome barriers to quality healthcare. By fostering strategic partnerships, the foundation also supports academic research aimed at advancing the African health system.
We invite you to share our passion by supporting our mission to ensure quality healthcare is universally accessible and affordable.
The foundation supports healthcare and educational institutions at every level: universities, teaching hospitals, clinics to community health centers. By providing resources and assistance, we aim to fortify these institutions and enhance the overall quality of healthcare delivery.
To create a healthier world, where everyone has access to affordable quality healthcare services.
We organize and conduct community health outreaches, offering free health services to underserved populations. These initiatives aim to provide access to essential healthcare, raise awareness about prevalent diseases, and promote preventive measures.
The foundation collaborates with government agencies and other stakeholders to analyze data collected from cancer registries and health programs. By partnering with these organizations, the foundation seeks to contribute valuable insights and recommendations to improve the quality of health services and policies.
This initiative focuses on supporting the fight against cervical cancer in Nigeria. The goal is to eliminate the burden of cervical cancer by the year 2040. The foundation conducts awareness campaigns, provides free cervical cancer screening, and works towards increasing awareness levels among women. Recent projects include a successful free cervical cancer screening and awareness campaign in three local governments in Borno State, where a prevalence of 13% and low awareness levels were identified.
This program aims to support health-related research and educational endeavors in institutions of higher learning. The foundation provides grants, scholarships, and assistance in the design and equipping of laboratories and classrooms. By empowering researchers and students, the foundation contributes to the generation of knowledge and innovation in the African health sector.
